- Mode of Action: Wriar™ is a broad-spectrum insecticide which kills insects upon contact by affecting the normal function of the nervous system. Wriar™ affects the nervous system by inhibiting the breakdown of acetylcholine (ACh), a neurotransmitter. When insects are exposed, Wriar™ binds to the active site of the cholinesterase (ChE) enzyme, which prevents breakdown of ACh in the synaptic cleft.
- Application: Wriar™ is broad-spectrum, chlorinated organophosphate (OP) insecticide, acaricide and nematicide.
