Broadleaf weed with dull green diamond-shaped leaves that look dusted with white powder, especially the young growth. It grows fast on fertile soil and shades out the crop early.
How to scout
Easy to spot by the whitish bloom on young leaves. Count patches 30 days after sowing.
Action threshold: Spray a broadleaf herbicide at the 2 to 4 leaf stage, before it starts shading the crop.
