HONEYTAS

Overview

HONEYTAS is a seed variety from Agritas. Agritas supplies it through the Haryali Markaz network, where the staff know which pests and diseases are moving in your district this week and can tell you whether this is the right product for what you are actually seeing in the field.

Mode of action

HONEYTAS is a melon variety supplied by Agritas. Sow at the spacing and season given in the crop guide, and treat the seed before sowing where the guide recommends it.

Dose & application

Rate: take it from the pack. The registered rate for this product changes with the crop and the pest, and Agritas will not print a figure here that might not match the label in your hand. Your Haryali Markaz will confirm it.

Water: Not applicable — this is seed, not a spray.

Timing: Sow into moisture at the depth on the pack. Sowing date moves yield more than almost any input you buy afterwards.

Why it pays

Seed is the one input that multiplies everything spent after it. Certified seed of a known variety germinates evenly, matures together and harvests in one pass — and an even stand is what lets every other input in the programme do its job.

Field tips

Treat the seed before sowing. Termite and shoot fly do their damage underground in the first three weeks, where you cannot see it and no spray reaches it.

Sow into moisture at the depth on the pack. Deep sowing is the commonest reason a good seed lot comes up thin.

Keep the bag and the lot number until harvest. If something goes wrong, that label is the only evidence you have.
