• Mode of Action: Acts mainly by contact and ingestion and affects the pest’s nervous system.
• Application: Apply when pests are first noticed or at the recommended pest stage. Coverage: Spray thoroughly, especially on the underside of leaves, where mites and many pests hide. Dosage: (300 ml per hectare) Always use the dose mentioned on the registered product label because concentration and crop recommendations can vary between products. Repeat spray: Follow the label-recommended interval; avoid unnecessary repeated applications. Resistance management: Do not repeatedly use abamectin alone. Rotate with insecticides/acaricides having a different mode of action. Safety: Wear gloves, protective clothing, eye protection and a mask/respirator as required by the label during mixing and spraying. Avoid contamination: Keep away from food, animal feed, drinking water and children. Pollinators: Avoid spraying when bees are actively foraging and follow the product label regarding flowering crops. Harvest safety: Observe the pre-harvest interval (PHI) stated on the product label. Important: Use only registered products and follow the label for crop, pest, dose, PHI and safety instructions.
