Fusarium Wilt

One side of the plant wilts in the afternoon heat and recovers overnight, then stops recovering. Cut the stem near the base lengthwise and you will see a brown ring in the wood. It lives in the soil for years, so the same field infects each replanting.

How to scout

Cut the stem of any one-sided wilting plant. Brown staining inside separates wilt from simple water shortage, which wilts the whole plant evenly.
