Anthracnose

Sunken dark circular spots on ripening fruit, often with pink spore masses in the centre in humid weather. It is the main cause of chilli fruit rotting on the plant just as it turns red.

How to scout

Inspect fruit as it starts colouring, especially after rain. Remove and destroy infected fruit rather than dropping it in the field.
